How to Talk to Your Prospects

If you are in the online industry and a part of a business opportunity, talking to your prospects and being able to close the sale is a key ingredient to your success.  A number of people finally learn the art of advertising and marketing and start getting plenty of traffic to their sites only to blow the sale because they don’t know how to talk to their prospects.

There are usually two ways people go about this.  The first one is they speak to their prospects out of desperation because they have not had the success they had hoped and are just eager to sign up anyone that is even remotely interested.  The other one is they speak to their prospects as if they already are successful and have hundreds of people in their downline.  They can’t afford to waste their time with people who really don’t have the same type of drive or determination to succeed.

If you are eager to sign anyone up just to make a sale or to join you in your opportunity, you aren’t choosing the people who are willing to go that extra mile and do the work that is needed.  Talking to your prospect from a desperation mentality will not get you far in this business.  You have to always remember that this is your business and you only want to work with people who want the same things.  If you owned your own offline company and were in charge of hiring your employees, would you hire people who weren’t really willing to do the work needed in order to make sure your business was run effectively and efficiently?  It’s no different with an online business because you can’t make any money if people aren’t willing to do the work.

If you speak to your prospects with the type of mentality that you already have hundreds of people on your team and you are making so much money you are overflowing with abundance, you will choose the right people to work with you.  Not everyone is willing to do the work involved to grow a successful business so be sure to ask the right questions and only choose the people who are willing to go that extra mile.

When talking to your prospects, ask them questions about themselves.  What are their goals, why do they want to join an online business, how much money do they have to invest, are they willing to put in the time and effort it takes, etc.  Talk to them like you are sizing them up for a position in your company.  Do they qualify, do they have what it takes, do you want them on your team?  You can’t have success in your online opportunity if you don’t have the right team members behind you.
