I am considering, starting a business website. Has anyone tried this and been successful?

If anyone has done this before, I would appreciate your advise.
I have a website and have blogs from other affiliates etc. Everytime someone enters my website and clicks on a ad, do I make money?? I am very new to this and could use the pros and cons of this type of business.
What is the most cost effective way of doing this??
Appreciate your help, I would like to be successful.

I have built a business online through my website. I would suggest that you take a look at several web hosts. There are a few that will assist you in designing a website around your interests. As you search I would strongly suggest that you compare feature by feature then dollar for dollar. This will ensure that you find a web host with features that suit your needs and at a price that you can afford. I did just that and have no regrets with the one I chose.
