Where to find the best and most recommended books to read listings?

100 Best Movies this, 10 best movies that, best movies of XXXX (name the year), best film of…. best song, best video, best…..it’s everywhere on the Internet. Where’s a list with the best books of all time ever read? Also categorized as best of drama, comedy, suspense, mystery, coming of age, etc.? Books written in English only please, accepting all writers from anywhere on our shared globe.

n.b…I am just looking for a www site, not a site affiliated with a book seller or a publisher. Just making sure I can find a honest-to-goodness neutral site.

New York Times Best Seller List. I actually subscribe for the Sunday edition and that’s my favorite part (it’s like a mini-magazine about all the new books). But I’m sure you can google them for a website.

Here is the Modern Library’s top 100 novels of the 20th century. There is also a side by side comparison with the reader’s top 100 novels. The two lists are quite different.

    http://www.listsofbests.com

It has user-submitted lists, but also lists that can be found from around the world. Huge variety.
